NGWA is developing a searchable database of interested persons who wish to become mentors to students or others considering careers in the groundwater industry. The targeted users of this database are high school guidance counselors and their students, college undergraduate and graduate students interested in science and engineering, and professionals seeking a change in careers.

The intent is that this database will provide an on-going, outreaching mentoring program for prospective students and professionals to receive counseling from professionals with diverse fields of expertise in different sectors of the groundwater industry in the many geographical areas of the country. Ideally this would be through e-mail contact; office meetings could be scheduled on an as-needed basis and in-school presentations can also be provided.

Complete contact information of volunteers can include such additional information as the sector of the groundwater industry represented, fields of expertise, credentials, and preferable method of mentoring such as one-on-one or in-school career presentation. Please note that this is a publically available database and can be searched via the input data.
