Handbook of Groundwater Engineering, second edition
edited by Jacques W. Delleur CRC Press
This book provides a detailed review of how to model the flow of water and the transport of contaminants in the unsaturated zones and saturated zones, as well as covering the production of groundwater and remediation of contaminated groundwater. This second edition has new and expanded material on model validation, modeling salt water intrusions, and modeling contaminant transport in unsaturated zones. It also has new chapters on several topics including scale issues, ecohydrology, and the impact of climate change on groundwater. Three chapters were rewritten and some chapters have been revised. The book, which also addresses legal and regulatory aspects, was put together with contributions from an international group of authors.
