The Interactive Roles of Surface Water & Ground Water

This 20-minute DVD demonstrates the interaction between groundwater and surface water through a video demonstration. The DVD was produced by a team at the International Ground Water Modeling Center at the Colorado School of Mines. The effort was led by Eileen Poeter, Ph.D., a former NGWREF Darcy Lecturer. The tool is designed to educate the public regarding the interaction of surface water and groundwater in conjunctive use situations. In an objective and scientifically sound manner, the video illustrates how groundwater and surface water interact in different geologic settings with certain factors added in such as domestic wells, domestic waste water systems, and irrigation structures.
